The live lounge in Stowmarket are now looking for their Assistant Bar Manager 

Our Assistant Bar Manager will help manage the bar’s operations, staff, and customer experience. They will assist in inventory management, staff training, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Bar Operations

• Support the Bar Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure smooth service flow, especially during peak hours.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar.

Staff Management:

• Supervise bar staff Assist with rotas
• Train staff on customer service, cocktail
• preparation, and safety procedures.

Customer Service:

• Ensure excellent customer experiences by maintaining high service standards.
• Promote a welcoming and engaging bar atmosphere.

Inventory & Stock Management:

• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering.

Financial & Sales Responsibilities:

• Assist with cash handling and POS system management.
• Support promotional activities to drive sales and customer engagement.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with law, health and safety, and company policies.
• Monitor responsible alcohol service and staff adherence to policies.
• Conduct regular safety and cleanliness checks.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in bartending or hospitality management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and bar equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Understanding of inventory management and cost control.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

 Salary & Benefits: Dependant on experience salary range between 25k-28k, Bonus Scheme for right candidate, Tips, Pension, Cycle to Work Scheme, Employee Discount, Uniform, Paid Holiday, Company Events.
